About
Welcome to Alice B.
Alice B. is a unique dining destination from James Beard and Julia Child award-winning chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken located near downtown Palm Springs. Open to the public Wednesday - Sunday for all to enjoy, the restaurant and bar is tucked inside the lobby of Living Out, a luxury resort-style LGBTQ+ community surrounded by spectacular desert and mountain views.
We offer California cuisine inspired by the extraordinary life of Alice B. Toklas and her travels through Europe. Our menus evolve frequently with the seasons and our creative dishes have earned us placement in Los Angeles Times’ Best Restaurants in California and Eater LA’s Best Palm Springs Restaurants. Guests can also visit the bar for seasonal bites, classic cocktails or a glass of wine with live piano music on select evenings.
Alice B. isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a celebration of style, creativity, and connection, where every bite tells a story as bold as Alice B. Toklas and Gertrude Stein themselves. It’s a space where warm hospitality and culinary innovation meets creative community, echoing the couple’s knack for gathering visionaries over unforgettable meals. Dine where appetite and art collide.
With portraits of Alice and Gertrude anchoring the dining room, the restaurant's rotating art gallery is a tribute to the duo’s creative legacy and features pieces created by local female and LGBTQ+ artists. Learn more about Jo Hay, the artist behind the portraits of Alice and Gertrude, here.
